Truman’s brewing again

Brewer Sir Benjamin Truman (1700-1780) is buried in Hertingfordbury churchyard near Heetford.

Sadly famous Truman’s ceased brewing in 1971 and the name disappeared having been bought by Heineken.

But now it has been bought back and brought back to London. Last week the new brewery opened 25 miles downstream from Hertfordshire on Fish Island near the Olympic stadium.
